Optical Homogenizer
FCH Optical Homoginzer
The Fiber-Coupled Optical Homogenizer (FCH) is a microlens-array (MLA) based optical homogenizer that converts fiber-delivered light into a large, square, spatially uniform illumination field at the sample plane.
Performance
Available with 60 mm × 60 mm and 120 mm × 120 mm projected fields, it is designed for applications requiring both high irradiance and high spatial uniformity. When paired with Bentham fibre-coupled monochromator and broadband-source systems, it provides highly uniform, wavelength-tuneable illumination across a broad 200 nm to 2.5 µm spectral range.
Features
The FCH is designed to provide uniform illumination without the high optical losses normally associated with integrating-sphere based uniform sources. For applications where source power is limited, or where high irradiance is required at the measurement plane, this can be a significant advantage.
Efficient
The higher usable throughput allows more of the available fiber-coupled source power to reach the sample, detector, camera, or calibration target, while maintaining a highly uniform square illumination field.
